Hundreds of aspiring musicians compete in the annual YCA International Auditions.
The Winners are selected by a distinguished jury based on virtuosity, musicianship and individuality,
and join the YCA Roster.
YCA manages 25-30 Roster artists annually, providing them with concert engagements, publicity, and individualized career guidance, until they are signed by commercial management. A close relationship between YCA and the artists continues throughout their careers.
Presented in New York and in Washington, D.C., the Series introduces the new winners to the
public and press at venues including Carnegie’s Zankel Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Alice Tully Hall,
and the Kennedy Center.
Artists teach masterclasses, perform, and lead interactive question and answer sessions in schools and colleges nationwide. Through this program, our artists communicate with audiences of all ages and inspire future music lovers.
Every 2-3 years, a gifted young American composer is selected to receive management and two commissions written for YCA soloists to premiere in the Series and throughout the country.
Orchestra Partners Program
YCA offers 25 US orchestras the opportunity to engage a soloist for a reduced fee. To supplement the reduced fee, YCA provides $1,000 per engagement to the artist.
