Annaliese Soros
Educational Residency Program

“Young Concert Artists, the non-profit management that may well have invented the mini-residency 25 years ago, has helped to nurture a generation of artists who are better prepared for work in the community. Their residencies are well organized and wide ranging.”
– SYMPHONY magazine

YCA’s brilliant young artists are dedicated to extensive educational outreach. Through the Annaliese Soros Educational Residency Fund, YCA artists visit local schools to lead master classes and perform interactive mini-concerts accompanied by informal talks and audience Q & A’s.

Praised for being among classical music’s best ambassadors, YCA’s young musicians possess the unique ability to inspire young people, serving as important role models while helping to foster interest and build the audiences of the future.

Through the educational residency program, young people nationwide have the opportunity to meet and interact with artists of their own generation, and YCA artists have the chance to broaden their experience, beyond performing public concerts, by engaging with communities across the country.

Alumni Quotes

EMANUEL AX:

"Young Concert Artists is the most wonderful start to any musician's life. The young musician needs concert experience and must be able to 'practice' this constantly. This is something that YCA provides in abundance. It is because of Young Concert Artists that I am able to make music today."

PINCHAS ZUKERMAN:

"How amazing that 50 years have gone by! It feels like yesterday that I was traveling to play the concerts arranged through YCA. It was such a fantastic time, starting off on the most incredible journey.”
