Naoko Takada,
Marimba Soloist

After her Kennedy Center appearance, The Washington Post raved, “Naoko Takada plays a thrilling marimba ...Takada might make you change your mind if you have any doubts that a solo mallet instrument can sustain your attention throughout an entire concert!” Her January concerto appearances include soloing with the Pensacola Symphony in Florida playing Kevin Puts’ acclaimed Marimba Concerto; and Keiko Abe's Prism Rhapsody with the Canton Symphony in Ohio.

Cellist Alexandre Bouzlov won Second Prize in the 2008 Geneva International Competition. YCA Pianist Louis Schwizgebel-Wang was a top prizewinner in the same competition in 2005.
There was a rave review in The New York Times for Narek Hakhnazaryan’s debut in the Young Concert Artists Series at Zankel Hall: “Narek Hakhnazaryan projected intensity from the moment he took the stage. His tone was warm and supple. [One of the encores was] a gorgeous account of the Andante from Rachmaninoff’s Cello Sonata.”
